P10 - TRPM7 activity restrains plasmin activity and promotes fibronectin and collagen levels in primary human lung fibroblasts

Diagnosis with lung cancer has still a very poor prognosis. Expression of the rho GTPase DLC1 has been shown to be depressed in some lung cancers and to be responsible for the tumorigenic cell proliferation of these tumors. Within this project, we aime at targeting Rho activity in DLC1 negative tumors cells by pharmacological tools in order to inhibit cell growth. To this end, we have multiple cell lines and mouse models available. Furthermore we have access to a data bank generated based on data obtained from patient tissues.
