Module M1 - Fundamentals of Lung Biology and Physiology

The aim of the Introductory module is to familiarize the GRK 2338 students from different scientific and academic backgrounds with lung biology and physiology. The seminar lays the foundation for the research project and covers lung anatomy and histology, lung physiology, lung biology, and an introduction to lung diseases.

The „Fundamental of Lung Biology and Physiology“ Lecture is followed by a Methods Seminar.
The GRK 2338 PhD students will present fundamental methods and technologies, which they will use within the framework of their work. Topics and content were added on a relevant basis.
The topics of the Method Seminar will also be part of the final exam of part 1.

Attendance of at least 75% and a score of minimum 65% in the exam is required for successful completion of M1.
