Data Analysis in Toxicology

October 14, 2022 – February 17, 2023; 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

This course will be created specifically for the needs of our Ph.D. candidates.

Learning goals:

  • Plan and organize a data analysis project under the FAIR data for reproducibility in science.
  • Identify what a Version Control System does.Perform basic work with git (no branches).
  • Know the key concepts of tidy data.
  • identify variables and their types: independent and dependent variables.
  • Understand visualization based on the grammar of graphics.
  • Understand the cycle of data.
  • Know the cycle of data.
  • work with R and python for data analysis.
  • Identify data types and data structures (R and Python), packages (R), libraries (R), modules (Python).
  • Find and understand the documentation for R and Python.
  • Work with RStudio and Jupyterlab.
  • Create R Notebook and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Use the main functions needed for data wrangling in R and Python 3.x
  • Work with make and makefile - simple versions.
  • Create visualization for descriptive statistics.
  • Efficiently research the internet for solutions for their data analysis and data wrangling problems.
