Good Scientific Practice - A Look at Theory, Practice and Real-Life Situations

Start-up Phase Workshop

This workshop aims to raise awareness about our common values in science, to inform about global GSP standards, to learn to recognize misconduct and to discuss ways to help navigate through any grey zones.

  • What are values in science? Process of science?
  • What is misconduct? What kinds of misconduct are there?
  • Why is it so relevant for all scientists?
  • DFG code of conduct, Lege Artis
  • Examples on what guidelines tell us: Data management, Authorship, Supervision, Plagiarism
  • What do the guidelines NOT tell us?
