by DGWMP e. V.

18.11.2024

Congratulations to Fee Gölitz, who received the Heinz Gerngroß Award, which, like the Young Scientist Poster Award, is dedicated to young scientists from the medical service.

The DGWMP e. V. has been awarding the Heinz Gerngroß Award since 2005. The aim is to promote and honor young talents in military medicine and pharmacy.

Fee Gölitz is PhD student at the group of Prof. Wille at project P02 - Investigation of novel therapeutic approaches in organophosphate-induced lung injury using precision cut lung slices

Lung tissue sections in military toxicology

With her creative title of the talk “From lung gummy bears to precision lung sectioning”, Ms. Gölitz explained the further development of medical models. She illustrated how her methodology leads from the model to the human being, directly addressing not only structural aspects of lung tissue, but also functional problems and thus symptoms - an impressive contribution to toxicological research.
